Liriodendron tulipifera aureomarginatum

Strikingly variegated large green leaves are heavily bordered with rich golden yellow. Colour is more muted through summer but intensifies through autumn.  Very large tree with a straight trunk and broad crown making it an ideal shade tree where space permits. Produces yellow and green tulip-shaped flowers in summer months from approx 10 years old.  Can grow to 15 x 8m after 20 to 25 years.
