Myoporum laetum

NZ Ngaio. Excellent dense fast-growing shelter and revegetation tree, suitable for a wide variety of positions, including exposed coastal sites. Grows naturally to a large rounded bush/tree. Trims well. White flowers mid/spring to mid summer are followed by red berries. Avoided by rabbits, however poisonous to stock. Attractive to bees and wood pigeons. Evergreen. Avoid heavy frosts.
