Winter Flowering Gum. Medium-sized spreading tree, which is planted widely for its masses of flowers which provides winter nectar attractive to tuis, bellbirds, and bees. Hard, durable timber. Drought-tolerant. Pink to red flowers from May-September. Evergreen. Tolerates only moderate frost and snow.
