Astelia chathamica

Astelia chathamica is a native species of the Chatham Islands, is one of the most distinctive species of Astelia available. The broad flax-like leaves have a silvery sheen and can be up to 2m long, rather erect and drooping towards the ends.   It will grow in sun or semi-shade and prefers rich soil but can tolerate some dryness. Stunning as a feature plant, for massed planting, or as a container plant. Small number available.
