Pittosporum tenuifolium ssp Colensoi

Very similar to Pittosporum teuuifolium although the leaves are slightly glossier and the flowers more conspicuous. A small native New Zealand shrub with glossy green leaves and black stems. Naturally occurring from sea level to 900m. Black Mapou is very hardy and popular as hedges, shelter belts or screens. An excellent choice for revegetation. Very hardy and frost tolerant.
